Position Overview The Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role supports production by minimizing downtime and maintaining the reliability of critical machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, dismantle, and assemble plant machinery and equipment
Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical systems (motors, control panels, PLCs, VFDs, circuit breakers, etc.)
Inspect and maintain production equipment and supporting systems
Adjust production lines to ensure consistent product flow
Maintain conveyors, material handling systems, and related components
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Complete maintenance reports and documentation
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Journeyman certification (Mechanical or Electrical) OR 5+ years of equivalent experience
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with gearboxes, VFDs, and industrial equipment
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, Word)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
Must pass a mechanical and electrical aptitude assessment
