Job Title: Production MIG (GMAW) Welder
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production GMAW (MIG/Wire-Feed) Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role focuses primarily on welding 11–7 gauge sheet metal (approximately 1/8"–3/16") in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate thrives in repetitive, high-volume work while maintaining strong attention to quality and consistency.

This is a physically demanding position requiring stamina, focus, and the ability to sustain productivity standards throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform GMAW (MIG) welding on 11–7 gauge sheet metal

  • Maintain consistent weld quality while meeting production quotas

  • Operate in a high-volume, repetitive manufacturing environment

  • Inspect welds to ensure adherence to quality standards

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

  • Support production needs and cross-train into other roles as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with GMAW (MIG/Wire-Feed) welding

  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment preferred

  • Ability to maintain both speed and quality in repetitive work

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods

  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance

  • Easygoing, team-oriented personality

Note: Candidates with primarily repair/field or stick-welding construction experience may not be the best fit for this production-focused role; however, exceptions may be considered based on demonstrated skill and adaptability.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, repetitive production setting

  • Physically demanding work

  • PPE provided (candidates encouraged to bring their own welding helmet if available)

Interview & Hiring Process

  • Brief on-site weld test (approximately one minute)

  • Candidates should dress appropriately for a weld test

  • Manager is ready to begin interviewing as soon as qualified candidates are available
