About the Role
We’re seeking a Systems Engineer – Industrial Engineering to join our growing team. This is a critical onsite position for a systems thinker who excels in leading requirements analysis, verification, and system architecture for industrial automation projects. If you’re experienced in engineering lifecycle development and passionate about creating dependable, high-quality systems, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
As a key technical leader, you will:

  • Lead systems engineering activities including requirements definition, architecture design, integration planning, and verification/validation of industrial automation systems

  • Collaborate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to align on technical requirements and system functionality

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation (e.g., functional specifications, interface control documents, test plans)

  • Conduct risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies for project success

  • Review high-risk mechanical and electrical designs to identify and address potential issues

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide expert technical guidance across disciplines

  • Manage verification and validation activities including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system commissioning

  • Drive process improvements and contribute to the development of systems engineering standards and tools

  • Support proposal efforts through technical scoping, documentation, and cost estimating

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field with 9+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience

  • Proven background in systems engineering for industrial applications, including full project lifecycle management

  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with automation and control platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, or Schneider Electric

  • Experience deploying automation systems in manufacturing or process industries

  • Knowledge of industrial safety and compliance standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849)

  • Hands-on experience in testing/debugging control systems

  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and manage engineering resources

  • Experience with digital twin, simulation tools, or MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering)

  • Strong documentation and presentation skills

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems (e.g., Ignition, Wonderware, Aveva)
