As the Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, including production, scheduling, and quality control. This role ensures that printing inks and coatings are produced efficiently and meet all quality and safety standards. The Production Supervisor will lead the production team, optimize workflows, and coordinate with other departments to meet customer demand.
Key responsibilities
- Production oversight: Manage daily production activities, including setting and meeting production schedules for various types of printing inks and coatings.
- Quality control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet established standards for performance, color consistency, and chemical stability.
- Team leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor production staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The manager will guide employees in meeting production targets and organizational objectives.
- Process improvement: Analyze production data to identify opportunities for improvement. The manager will develop and implement best practices to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Equipment management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all production equipment, including mixers, mills, and filling machines. The manager ensures optimal performance and minimizes downtime.
- Inventory and materials: Coordinate with supply chain and purchasing to manage inventory levels of raw materials, such as pigments, resins, and additives.
- Safety and compliance: Ensure that all production processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including OSHA and hazardous material handling requirements.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work with the technical and sales teams to align production with market needs and customer requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical or printing ink industry.
- Technical expertise: Knowledge of the printing ink manufacturing process, including formulation, quality control, and the different types of inks (flexographic, gravure, etc.).
- Leadership skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Attention to detail: A meticulous and detail-oriented approach to quality control and process management.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt quickly to changing demands and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
The compensation range is $ 27.00 to 30.00 per hour plus benefits . We are looking to fill this position urgently.
