Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Summary of Primary Functions
The Maintenance Mechanic Trainee will assist experienced Maintenance Mechanics while developing the skills required to advance into a Class A Maintenance Mechanic role. This position involves performing basic independent tasks such as general building maintenance, part replacement, and vehicle tune-ups, as well as learning hands-on by working alongside trained mechanics to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe workplace and ensure production of high-quality products.

  • Examine machines and equipment to diagnose issues.

  • Dismantle and reassemble machinery as needed.

  • Replace broken or worn-out parts; order replacement parts when necessary.

  • Make adjustments to ensure proper machine operation.

  • Perform general facility upkeep, including plumbing repairs, motor servicing, and light painting.

  • Assist with repair, rebuilding, and overhauling of engines, transmissions, and related systems.

  • Support Maintenance Mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.

  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
