Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Summary of Primary Functions
The Maintenance Mechanic Trainee will assist experienced Maintenance Mechanics while developing the skills required to advance into a Class A Maintenance Mechanic role. This position involves performing basic independent tasks such as general building maintenance, part replacement, and vehicle tune-ups, as well as learning hands-on by working alongside trained mechanics to diagnose and repair machinery and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow all safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe workplace and ensure production of high-quality products.
Examine machines and equipment to diagnose issues.
Dismantle and reassemble machinery as needed.
Replace broken or worn-out parts; order replacement parts when necessary.
Make adjustments to ensure proper machine operation.
Perform general facility upkeep, including plumbing repairs, motor servicing, and light painting.
Assist with repair, rebuilding, and overhauling of engines, transmissions, and related systems.
Support Maintenance Mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.
Carry out other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
