Electrical Superintendent – Permanent Position (Full-Time)
Heavy Civil & Infrastructure Construction | Southeastern U.S.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Superintendent to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is not a contract role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical construction on complex infrastructure projects and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the electrical scope—from planning and procurement to schedule management and field supervision.
Our work spans across the Southeast, focused on heavy construction projects such as bridges, dams, water and wastewater treatment facilities, power plants, and other energy infrastructure. We self-perform civil, electrical, and mechanical scopes on both traditional and alternative delivery projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Oversight
Manage all aspects of electrical construction on small to large projects.
Conduct manpower assessment and hiring.
Assist in material take-off, procurement, and rental equipment management.
Oversee schedule development, implementation, and adherence.
Support cost control efforts with the Division office.
Ensure coordination with subcontractors and enforce site safety and QA/QC programs.
Hands-on work may be required on smaller projects.
Planning & Scheduling
Participate in preconstruction and project scheduling sessions.
Implement project schedules and manage manpower and logistics.
Coordinate daily and weekly schedules with field teams.
Maintain effective communication with owners, engineers, vendors, and internal departments.
Site Safety & Compliance
Enforce OSHA, local, and company-specific safety protocols.
Conduct regular safety inspections and meetings.
Ensure immediate resolution of safety issues.
Team Management
Supervise foremen and craft workers.
Assign tasks and coordinate daily operations.
Address personnel matters including hiring, transfers, and performance concerns.
Quality & Production Control
Ensure work meets specifications and project timelines.
Address productivity or quality concerns promptly.
Maintain high ethical standards across teams.
Documentation & Reporting
Complete daily reports, timesheet approvals, equipment logs, and labor reports.
Maintain cost control documentation and ensure accurate project tracking.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of electrical construction experience, including supervisory roles.
Experience with electrical scopes on solar (5MW+), WTP, or WWTP projects valued at $3M+.
Proficient in conduit and cable tray systems, SCADA/PLC systems, motor controls, and NEC code.
Strong leadership, communication, and scheduling skills.
Valid, non-restrictive driver's license.
Willingness to travel as needed (multi-state opportunities).
Must be 18+, able to pass a drug test, and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Must have own transportation and basic hand tools.
