Job Description

Role Summary:

The Assets Logistics Specialist will manage daily operations for asset returns, documentation, and semi-bulk fleet management. This role ensures efficient coordination of bin returns, carrier management, and accurate record-keeping, while adhering to shipping procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily bin returns and schedule pickups/deliveries with carriers.
  • Process and manage field return documentation (Bills of Lading, placards).
  • Communicate with sales representatives regarding asset pickups and returns.
  • Collaborate with sales on tank orders and evaluate customer process requirements (chemical compatibility, temperature, environmental, safety).
  • Maintain tank specifications and coordinate with vendors on custom orders.
  • Update tank ownership records in SAP system and generate reports on utilization metrics.
  • Support fleet management and tracking initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Background in transportation/logistics operations.
  • Experience with chemical containers or industrial equipment tracking.
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation and procedures.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in asset management or fleet operations.
