Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and problem-solving Electrician and Mechanical Technician to join our team. This position focuses on minimizing downtime and enhancing efficiency across both electrical and mechanical systems. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical and mechanical machinery, handling both routine and complex repair tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to machine safety protocols and personal protective equipment guidelines. Comply with safety procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical machinery issues using established methods.
  • Install, repair, and maintain pneumatic systems to meet specified job requirements.
  • Fabricate custom housings, jigs, fixtures, and replacement parts using metalworking equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
  • Perform regular inspections of machinery to diagnose issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Provide training to new employees, sharing expertise in electrical and mechanical tasks.
  • Respond to after-hours breakdown calls and implement preventative repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper housekeeping and safety protocols.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and attend Gemba meetings to support ongoing operational enhancement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as both an Electrician and Mechanical Technician.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a keen ability to address complex electrical and mechanical issues.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in electrical and mechanical work.
  • Ability to recognize performance changes and differences in operational outputs.
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Basic PC skills for timekeeping and documentation purposes.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for an 8-10 hour shift.
  • Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; a two-year trade school degree is a plus.
