Electrical Production Lead (Industrial HVAC Manufacturing)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Production Lead to oversee the electrical assembly team building custom commercial HVAC equipment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating daily production, supporting electrical troubleshooting, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring projects stay on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily electrical assembly, control panel wiring, equipment testing, and startup activities.
• Assign work, coordinate team priorities, and keep production running efficiently.
• Ensure electrical installations are completed according to schematics, engineering drawings, NEC requirements, and company standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues while supporting production teams with technical guidance.
• Verify system functionality through testing and inspection before equipment ships.
• Monitor workflow, address production challenges, and communicate engineering or material concerns.
• Coach, train, and mentor electricians and electrical assemblers.
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing OSHA, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, and 5S practices.
• Partner with Engineering and Quality teams to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial, commercial, or manufacturing electrical experience.
• Previous experience leading electricians, electrical assemblers, or production teams.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, control panel wiring, equipment startup, and testing.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC equipment manufacturing or custom engineered equipment.
• Background with industrial fans, airflow systems, or electrical controls.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent technical training.
• NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training.
• Experience in engineer-to-order (ETO) or custom manufacturing environments.
