Electrical Maintenance Supervisor – Industrial (Day Shift, +Bonus, Relocation Available)

 

A leading industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to join its maintenance leadership team at a high-volume facility. This role offers strong compensation, a day-shift schedule, and the chance to drive electrical reliability in a complex heavy manufacturing environment.

Role Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor will lead an industrial electrical team responsible for equipment reliability across utilities, cranes, mobile equipment, and facility/buildings. This leader will own electrical performance, safety, and uptime, working closely with production and reliability engineering to support continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an industrial electrical maintenance team to meet safety, quality, and production objectives.
  • Own electrical reliability for utilities, overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and buildings/grounds, maximizing equipment uptime.
  • Plan, prioritize, and assign daily electrical maintenance work, including preventive, predictive, and corrective tasks.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues on motors, drives, controls, power distribution, and automation systems.
  • Maintain and improve PM/PdM programs, spare parts strategies, and job plans to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and internal safety standards, including lockout/tagout and electrical safe work practices.
  • Partner with operations and other maintenance disciplines to schedule outages, support capital and reliability projects, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to budgeting and cost control for electrical maintenance activities, including labor, materials, and contractors.
  • Provide on-call support for nights and weekends as needed to support round-the-clock operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical or related) preferred, with 3+ years of relevant industrial electrical maintenance experience;
  • – OR – High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of directly related experience in heavy manufacturing or steel-like environments.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory or lead experience managing electrical maintenance technicians.
  • Strong working knowledge of AC/DC motor controls, transformers, power distribution, PLCs/drives, and industrial control systems.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical problems in continuous-process operations.
  • Demonstrated success driving safety, reliability improvements, and maintenance best practices.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and hold a team accountable.
  • Willingness to be on call and occasionally work nights/weekends to support critical operations.

Pay, Benefits, and Schedule

  • Base salary: $115,000–$130,000 annually, plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Day-shift leadership role with on-call responsibilities for off-hours support.
