Construction Superintendent

Location: Sumter, SC
Duration:Through April 2027
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4 ten-hour days

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Construction Manager to support a renovation project in Sumter, SC. This role will serve as the Owner’s Representative for the renovation of a restaurant facility and will provide on-site construction oversight in support of the General Contractor.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable reviewing project documentation, attending site visits, and helping ensure construction progresses in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and pay applications.

• Conduct regular onsite visits to monitor progress and support the General Contractor.

• Coordinate with project stakeholders to help keep work aligned with contract requirements.

• Provide clear communication and project updates as needed.

• Support construction administration activities throughout the duration of the project.

Qualifications

• Construction supervision or construction management experience preferred.

• Experience with submittal review, RFIs, pay applications, and onsite project oversight.

• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and provide professional on-site representation.

• Experience on federal, military, or government projects is a plus.
