We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Architectural Design Coordinator to support architectural design coordination and clash detection efforts for a growing architectural engineering firm in Alexandria, VA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across design and construction teams, coordinating models, and keeping projects organized through strong communication and technical problem-solving.

The right candidate will bring experience working in a professional design or engineering firm and be confident using industry-standard coordination tools to manage models, track clashes, and support project communication. This is an in-office position with a flexible work schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Manage project files and model coordination within Autodesk Construction Cloud.

• Perform clash detection and support clash assignment, tracking, and resolution.

• Prepare clash reports and coordinate follow-up with project teams.

• Attend and participate in clash detection and coordination meetings.

• Write and distribute meeting minutes and project follow-up documentation.

• Support architectural and construction coordination efforts as needed.

• Help maintain organized project information and documentation throughout the design and coordination process.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience working in an architectural, engineering, or design-related firm.

• VDC / clash detection experience is required.

• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) experience is required.

• Experience with construction administration is a plus.

• Design experience is a plus.

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-motivated, research-oriented, and detail-focused.

• Comfortable working in an in-office environment.

Education

A degree in one of the following is preferred, or equivalent experience:

• Engineering

• Construction Science

• Architecture

Software Skills

Required:

• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)

• Navisworks

• Revit

Preferred:

• Microsoft Office

• AutoCAD

• Airtable

• ChatGPT

• Claude
